Help JDRF Secure Coverage for CGMs:
Tell Us Your Health Plan

We’re sure that you are wondering what would come after our legislative victory in extending the Special Diabetes Program (SDP) earlier this year.

What’s next is actually related to a technology that, in part, has been developed as a result of SDP funding: continuous glucose monitors (CGM).  CGMs allow people with diabetes to better manage their blood sugar by providing continuous, real-time trend data about their glucose levels.  You can learn more by clicking here.

Our challenge now is to convince health plans to provide coverage for CGM technology.  JDRF is currently funding a clinical trial to produce data that will show the potential of this technology.  Results of this trial will be available soon.  But, we’ll also need beneficiaries to communicate the urgent need for coverage directly to their health plans.

This is where you come in!  Here’s how you can help:

Click here to tell us your health plan.  Knowing this information will allow JDRF to target the right information for you.  In most cases, we’ll also be able to direct your communications to the person responsible for coverage decisions at your plan.

Thanks for your continued dedication and support,

JDRF Government Relations
