The Pro Tip Practice

A practice, not a course.

Most diabetes education hands you information and asks you to apply it. The Pro Tip series already does that. What's missing — and what most people quietly struggle with — is the daily practice that turns information into a skill, and a skill into a way of moving through your day.

The Pro Tip Practice is 21 days plus one. Each day is a short reading, a single idea, an affirmation, and one thing to notice. Five minutes of your time. Nothing to buy. Nothing to track for anyone but yourself. Nothing to perform.

Days unlock one at a time. Your progress lives in your own browser — no account, no email required, no one watching. You can read tomorrow's day tomorrow, or wait a week. You can repeat a day. You can pause and come back. The practice is yours.

The opening preface

The Pro Tip Practice is patient education and reflective practice based on the Juicebox Podcast's Diabetes Pro Tip series. It exists to help you become a more thoughtful, articulate, and engaged participant in your own diabetes care. It is not medical advice.

Scott Benner, the host of the Juicebox Podcast, is not a doctor. Jennifer Smith — co-host of the Pro Tip series and a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist — is not your care provider. Decisions about your insulin, medications, monitoring, goals, and treatment plan should always be made with your endocrinologist, CDCES, RD, or other licensed members of your care team.

Each day, you'll be invited to notice something — never to do something. What you do with what you notice is between you and your care team. If something here feels off, talk to your team. If something here feels right, also talk to your team. Bring them along.

If you're experiencing severe high or low blood sugar, distress, or anything that feels like an emergency, stop reading this program and contact your medical team or emergency services.

This program is offered free as part of the Juicebox Podcast community. By participating, you acknowledge that you understand this is educational content, that your individual care remains your responsibility, and that the Juicebox Podcast and its associated parties are not responsible for the outcomes of decisions you make based on information here.

One last thing. If today doesn't fit, skip it. If a week feels heavy, pause it. This isn't a prescription. It's a conversation. Come back when you're ready.
