Hi. As 2026 winds down I wanted to send a proper thank-you and let you know where things stand for next year.
First, the practical part: your spot on the show is secured for 2027. Same placement, same schedule, same approach. If anything has changed on your end — budget, timing, people, strategy — please let me know as soon as you can. There is a waiting list of companies who would like a spot on the show, but as always, I’d prefer to stay with you.
There is no increase in ad pricing for 2027. I hope you appreciate that stability as much as I appreciate yours. My focus has always been on long-term relationships that work for your company, for the podcast, and most importantly for the people listening, and holding the line on price is part of that.
Now the year. The Juicebox Podcast crossed 22 million total downloads in 2026, counting from the first episode in 2015. It remains the best rated, best reviewed, and most downloaded diabetes podcast in the world. It has ranked on Apple’s podcast charts every single day for more than eight years — 2027 will be the ninth — in the U.S. and in 40 other countries. The show is still a daily program, and the audience still listens to it that way.
The community around the show kept growing too. The private Facebook group just crossed 90,000 members, and the other social accounts combined are well over 100,000 followers.
The Juicebox ecosystem gives people with diabetes, and the people who love them, three things: community, support, and education. On the podcast, online, and in person. They put their trust in it. Juicebox repays that trust with a way forward.
I spent a good part of this year at industry events — ADA, ADCES, Friends for Life, Touched By Type 1 — and I’m consistently working in the background to build the profile of the Juicebox Podcast so it can better serve its listeners, and better serve your ads.
The website has had a lot of work this year, and your links live there. juiceboxpodcast.com was redesigned from the homepage out — new look, new logo, and built around the things listeners actually use: the series guides, the free tools, the FAQ with more than 800 answers from the show, the full transcript library, and a listen page that sends people straight into Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Episodes now play right on the pages. The site did 309,000 page views in 2025. It has already passed that this year, and is on pace to finish 2026 around 390,000 — roughly a 26% increase. Your ad is on the main page and on every one of the 220-plus episode pages published each year, and I never take ads down. The pages from this year keep working for you next year, and the year after that.
One more thing to put on your radar. I’ve made a decision to be more active on YouTube. What’s there now is a first step: original animated type 1 education content built for that platform, and it’s working — the channel’s following has doubled in the last two weeks. The second step, coming in 2027, is an on-camera format — a host in front of the lens. The animated work will stay part of the YouTube offering, but it won’t be all of it. There will be a bigger announcement next year about what’s coming and who’s involved, and there may be a way for you to be part of it if it interests you. I’ll share more when it’s ready.
Thank you for a great year. You’ve been with the show for a long time, and that consistency is a big part of what makes the podcast possible. I don’t take it for granted. Talk soon.
If anything about your ads is changing for 2027, please let me know as soon as you can so we can coordinate.
Otherwise, as long-term sponsors, your ads continue into the new year with a simple confirmation by email, and we’ll work out the rest later, as we always do.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
