On Sunday an estimated 100 million people will watch the Kansas City Chiefs play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV. This highly anticipated match up between Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes promises to be a good one!

For 30 seconds of the big game people living with diabetes will have a little something extra to cheer for because during a commercial break Nick Jonas will show the world his Dexcom G6 continuous glucose monitor.

To help you get hyped for Sunday, I have behind the scenes images and video as well as the ad from Sunday’s big game.

Too many people with diabetes suffer through painful, antiquated fingerpricks because they don’t know a better way exists,” said Jonas. “I truly believe people with diabetes deserve the absolute best care, and that’s really the spirit of my first Super Bowl commercial. It means so much to me to bring this message of awareness and the need for improved CGM access to as many people with diabetes as possible.

Have you listened to the Juicebox Podcast?

I stumbled across this Podcast in a Facebook group, days after our whole world was turned upside down when my 9 yo son was diagnosed with T1D. The education we had received in the hospital was great, it helped us keep him alive for the first few weeks. But I needed more, I wanted to understand how other parents lived the T1D life. Enter this podcast with it’s real life stories, meaningful advice, packed with so much knowledge and useful information on not just how to keep our kids alive, but how to keep our kids HEALTHY. I cry, I laugh, I take ferocious notes, I just cannot get enough. Scott, I am sure I speak for many T1D parents when I say you have made this major life change seem manageable, and I cannot thank you enough for pouring your heart and soul into this podcast.
