Listener Impact Survey — Results — Juicebox Podcast
Juicebox Podcast · Listener Survey

What listeners actually said.

Results from the Listener Impact Survey — an open, voluntary survey of self-selected Juicebox Podcast listeners about the podcast's effect on their physical and mental health. Everything reported below is self-reported and describes the people who chose to respond. The critical answers are shown with the same prominence as the kind ones; that's the point.

Overall impact

The two required questions, on a balanced scale. Bars are centered on "no impact" — orange extends toward positive, blue toward negative.

In their own words

The written answers, in full. Every respondent who granted quoting permission is here — praise and criticism side by side, unsorted and unranked. Pick a thread to narrow it down, or just read.

Physical health

Self-reported, from memory. Before/after comparisons are perceived change (retrospective pre-post), shown alongside what else changed in the same period.

Mental & emotional health

Current well-being uses the WHO-5 Well-Being Index (validated, 0–100; scores of 50 or below suggest reduced well-being). Change statements are original items, not validated instruments.

What hasn't worked

Asked directly, of every respondent — not volunteered. This section gets equal billing on purpose.

Who responded

Context for reading everything above — including how respondents found the survey.

These results summarize voluntary, self-reported listener experiences from a self-selected sample. They are not medical advice, not a clinical study, and show association — not proof of cause and effect. Individual experiences vary; always consult your care team before changing your management.
